Default FAST Intake: Do I have a problem?

So I recently picked up a used FAST intake and took the top shell off so I could clean up all the oil inside of it and mildly port it. I bought a new FAST seal from Vengeance and bolted the top shell back on and this is what I got. Is this a problem or will it look like this until it's bolted onto the engine?

There may be a torque sequence you have to follow similar to one used with cyl head bolts. You may also double check that your seals are fully seated in the groove.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I ordered the gasket from Vengeance as well and am just finishing up the install on the intake. I was concerned about this, but when I put the intake on the car and started to torque the bolts down (in two passes), the upper shell seated on the intake and pushed into the gasket. Hopefully, I will finish the install today and make sure that everything is fine when it starts up and let you know how it goes.

P.S. I like the color choice on that intake

Update: torquing them down sealed the gap and so far, everything seems to be happy and running well
