Default Is the theory of porting a ls6 intake true?

It was about a year ago on here that someone posted that they read or saw somewhere that if a ls6 intake was ported on the runners and opened up for a 85mm TB that it would flow and gain hp almost identical to the I think but I might be wrong the stock 85mm or 90mm fast intake not sure. So does anyone have any proof or input to support this theory. Once again correct me if I'm totally wrong but I'm pretty sure that I read that on here.
