There very nice shells, As for two it all depends where you live, some states require if the car factory has two then two must be on it at all times,

Alright thanks yea I'm from CA guess we can agree that I would have to get 2. Do you think it would be better to get 2.5" or 3" if I was going to connect them to my 1 3/4" lt headers?

That disclaimer is sweet. Look like good shells, should pass a visual inspected with no problem.

I have them right behind my headers, but for entertainment purposes only

Passenger side is no problem, but the drivers is really tight.

Well I figured since the collector is 3" that buying a 3" cat wouldn't work?

You buy a 3 inch opening And have it either welded or clamped into place.

NO IT WILL SLOW YOU DOWN. my god,i have to tell this story again. Ok,On the old 5.0 mustangs that was the thing to do. I did it and lost power,i could feel it. so,we did a test. We did it on my boys 5.0 and had track times before and after. he lost 2 tenths after every time ni matter how the weather was. We tried the same thing on a friends 99 camaro. We wnt to track and bone stock with free mods his auto went 13.3 in 1/4mi. we hollowed and re installed the cats and a week later he went 13.6 was the best. he went back again and 13.6 was the best again. he added kooks and off roads and went 12.9 with a tune and headers. Buy an off road pipe. if you hallow out the cats in created exspanshion chambers in the exhause causing a power lose. We proven this on the old 5.0 and on the camaro too.

You DO realize that this is just a straight pipe going through..... There is no way to create expansion chambers in the exhaust? Its pretty much like installing a straight piping in its place If anything it might weigh a couple lbs.

Got the "cats" installed I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone wanting to pass visual or need hollow cats. Very good price! & look LEGIT. I was surprised that they came with scuff marks & some rust LMAO. I ordered the wrong size 2.5" instead of 3" for my LT Pacesetter headers but still managed to get them installed. Def had to do some customizing... Like mentioned the driver side is VERY tight with space. We used piping connected to the header & turned it down a little bit just so it could clear underneath. I will post pics soon as possible.

Im looking to run these. That is, if they are the best option.

I have some junk 2.5" cats in my garage. I was thinking of cutting the heat shields off of them and putting around/on my 3" ypipe. Weld them in place and call it finished. Im just worried it wont look real enough.
