i have a 2002 SS, on the site it only says up to 2001, is there a difference in starters?

No difference, they likely got the years wrong.

Starters are funny things. Once you replace one, you continue to replace them. I think OEMs are best (I often buy on the used market) or new units if you can stomach the $200+ they want for them.

thats why i wanted to go with the delco lol

no ****..my friend replaced one starter, 2 months later he ended up buying 3 got a new flywheel and same..thank god he junked that thing lol.

at first we got one from a totaled car, worked for like 2 months and then died. then we bought delphi if i remember correctly but am 100% sure it was a faker one bcoz it was cheap! even acdelco was cheap here..i live in middle east so its totally a different story. i once saw an acdelco fuel pump that was made in india!..it has a life span of 10 days
