I picked up a non-egr LS6 intake to swap over on my 2000 LS1. I have the coolant crossover pipe and the block offs for that, but I do not have the block off plates for the egr. These would go on the headers correct? What other parts do I need other than the egr block off plates? Can I purchase these from Auto Zone, Advance or GM? Also, I was watching a video of the install on youtube and they mentioned something about grinding the fins on the underside of the intake.

Basically I just need a cut and dry explanation of exactly what I need to do because there seems to be a lot of different information on the subject. Yes I have use the search function

If you have the ls6 crossover tube you do not need to grind anything on the intake.

As far as EGR and AIR I removed everything when I did my headers so not sure on the blockoffs.

You can make your own blockoff plates out of thin gauge sheet metal. There are some sponsor's that also have them on their site

Nope. Autozone and such won't carry them because, technically speaking, removal of those items is "illegal". A drill, benchgrinder, and a little sheetmetal; and you can make some relatively easily.
