Default FAST 102 clearance issues/F-body LS2 install

Tried to install my FAST 102 intake and ran into a problem. The valley cover has a tube coming out of the passenger side that makes the install seem impossible (its an LS2 block). Has anyone ran into this problem? I'm sure the swap with a LS2 into a F-body with a FAST 102 intake has been done, looking to find the right way to do it. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Interesting question. I am curious to know the answer as well. FAST lists one of their 102's as fitting LS1/LS2/LS6 cars (they also list two others-LS7 & LS3/L76/L92/L99). So the assumption is it would fit. LS1 valleys do not have the PCV system "tube" you mention, LS6 valleys do, but have the knock sensors in the valley cover and LS2 valleys have the tube, but without the knock sensors in the cover. Here is a photo of my SDPC 402/LS2 with a FAST 90.

Thats exactly the tube I am talking about. The 102mm is significantly bigger overall compared to the 90 and 92. A solution I am thinking of trying is to put something in the tube to help keep it properly sized and tap it with a rubber mallet to slowly bend it down. I don't see any other option.

are you going to be using the tube or is it just there? Could you not trim it down till it clears then cap it off?? I'm an artist with a cutoff wheel

Before modifying it, I would call FAST and give them a chance to address it.

After a few thoughts about going about it, I simply grabbed a towel and some channel locks, used the towel to prevent the tube from getting all messed up, clamped down on it (gently) and rotated the tube down about 1/4 turn. It went in smooth as silk! Another plus is that I don't have the water pump clearance issue that some people are having. Turned out to be a good deal all around but the sky opened up and I had to call it quits, damn it!

Good for you ... I am curious how the 102 works on your TSP 402. Did you go with a 102 TB? How does the rest of your motor spec out ... heads, cam, TB, is the FAST ported, etc?

I'm hoping that it performs well. I haven't driven the car in almost 2 years, working 2 jobs makes it hard, only 1 day a week to throw wrench time in. Here are the specs:
TSP 402 LS2
PRC 243 stage 2.5, 11.1 comp
TSP 1 7/8 inch headers and ory, SLP L/M1
FAST 102mm (vengeance ported), NW102mm T/B, 42lb LS3 injectors
FTP 104mm lid, SD tune will be by mail order from FROST so I can do the break in then a solid tune. I live about 2 hours away from Richmond.
TSP MS4 cam, I don't have the specs right this sec.
Tranny: M6 w/ monster stage 3, ticks master and stock rear (for now)
Realistically I'm looking at the end of july to be have it running, hopefully sooner!

the probleme with mine was the tubes that i bent, the water pump i had to grind and the oil pressure switch clearence(i had to grind small amount off intake to clear oil switch), then my injectors did not fit the 102 intake, i needed small bodied injectors.

I will be interested in the difference in power numbers of our 402's.
