Default Exhaust Questions, need advice from you!

I am looking at getting some exhaust for the gf's car. It is a 2000 SS slp optioned with the dual/dual exhaust. I was looking at getting some LT's and ORY.

My question is since the catback is already 3" correct(?), that there wouldnt be any sense in buying an aftermarket cat back, so would it make sense just to change mufflers to wake it up a little. What do you ls1tech folks recommend???

Thanks!

easier to replace the whole catback imo, and stainless steel mandrel bent pipes are just an added bonus.

so are you saying the dual/dual does not have mandrel bends, or that it is not stainless AND mandrel bends?

Keep the SLP dual-dual! Yes it is 3". It is one of the best flowing mufflers out there for our cars, With a elect cut out there was only 4 HP diff between opened and closed, so it works rather well. I am running ARH LT's (highly recommend) and cat-less y-pipe and the sound is perfect, not loud enough to be over bearing but the car comes alive when you get into it.
