Default Dual cutouts

Where is everyone running trot cutouts? I was thinking of just cutting a section out of the y pipe just after the headers. Will this work or should I ditch the y pipe and just run them off the headers into a custom y?

ive got dual cutouts. i couldn't fit the driver's side directly behind the header, its more right under the transmission. It is INCREDIBLY loud, so much so that i really just never run it open anymore. My Y was made with the cutouts though, so its a custom pipe.

This is about the only picture that i have, you can get the idea

@therobman. I think your cutouts are almost pointless... You saved 2 feet of straight pipe by going through your cutouts?? Lol. So your exhaust is Eaither really loud or obnoxious loud lol!!!

There really isn't anything like one of these engines at full song with straight pipes. I love the sound but drive the car WAY too much for that sort of thing.

Now if I had some duals over the axle with a pair of e-cutouts...

Yah I just want it for racing, I have a single to dual catback, through a 80 series flowmaster so I want the cutouts for when I race. The cutouts came yesterday getting them welded on today, will post pics when it's done.

Ok so fitnebt was an issue to run duals and here in NC no one will touch a catless car without cash and lots of it. So I went with a single cutout right behind the Y. Didn't want to hack up my Y and find out that it wouldn't work. Car is Way too loud to drive on the street, so track only. Did anyone notice a difference in their regular exhaust note after cutout install? Think it quieted it down a little, might be do to leakage?

Custom, see how hes got the flowmaster merge, and the pipe is flatten out in some parts. Guess he wanted to pass the sniffer test without removing anything.
