You should do a stall, then LT headers

Well, swapping the rear end gears will put you at a higher risk of breaking that stock 10 bolt. The headers will help some. If you use the car as a daily driver and can't afford breaking it, maybe you should just leave it alone. Trust me, the more mods you do and track time you put on your car, the more likely it will break. Either the transmission or rear. Those are not cheap to fix either. What part of Maryland are you from?

The stock autos are fairly strong. I'd probably go with lt's if it's a DD.

I had the stock 10 bolt with 3.42's and went 12.12. It is possible. I would have to agree with the other guy on a stall and tranny cooler. The 3.23's or 3.73's will work either way, both are better then the 2.73's you have now. It might be good for you to read this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-ls1-o...anna-fast.html

interesting information i really want a stall but for reliablity purpsoes think ima hold off for now even with a trans cooler stalls make transmission go out a whole lot faster.as for the gears i will probly instal the 323 since i already got them. and i will do the headers first since that wont put me at high risk of breaking also adding a cutout for when i need a beeter flow

Like stated previously, a good tune will add some extra ponies, especially with lt's.

I went 12.8 @108 with just 3.73 gears, 2800 converter, lid, SSRA air intake and a hand held tune. This was with a 2.3 60' (BFG street tires)

That is a NO on the tci stall. Many guys on here will tell you that.
They are a low quality piece and even if given to you at a killer deal, it would not be worth it.
About the 4l60e.
A lot of people will tell you its a pos, and that it will fail you in no time.
I myself have run over 28 bottles of nitrous through that trans, consistant 11.66-11.70's with 1.65 60' times for 2 years w/o any issue whatsoever, stock 10 bolt with 3.42 gears.
Now I did, [ just 6 weekes ago ] install a FLT lvl4 w/a yank ss3600 stall, to support my bigger nitrous shot [150].
But that trans was running as good as ever the day I pulled her out.
Regular maint. and a good cooler are very important for trans life.
And I am not an exception.
Do a search, and look how many guys are on their stock trans and running
11's, not to mention a few in the 10's.
The big question is how much money do you have to spend?
That will help us tell you what you should lean towards.

-get some decent tires
-work on launching the car better
-a 3600 stall is very streetable. don't forget a trans cooler

the way the car is now you could get a 13.3ish out of it

When i read this i almost fell down laughing. Stock 4l60e are soft. ALL, i reapeat ALL 9 of my friends with a4s ALL had to rebuild their stock trannys with less then 100k miles. of course they do drive semi hard driving on the road and do visit the track once in a while. a few of them have heads, cam, 100 shot nos, bolt ons. most of them only have bolt ons. and yes they do the normal trans flushes etc.

His car has 134,xxx miles. It WILL need a rebuild soon especially with mods and track time.

to dannyz post. 28 bottles of 75 shot nos is not much. lol. jk you and those guys mentioned are lucky and probably dont have much milage, and use as a true daily driver. or just bsing about being stock trans.
