Default How do i get this clamp off?

The nut seems to be part of the rest of the clamp, and the bolt head is an oval shape.

You might try two nuts on the exposed threads - lock them together and use them to turn it clockwise.

i would try spraying some penetrating oil on them threads and nut and try breaking that nut loose...odds are that it most likley will break, and i would def. have a spare set aside. inless your swapping out the exhast.

Use a dremel tool with a reenforced cutoff wheel and just take you time and cut through the band.

^^Yeah man, is that the clamp on the I pipe for the exhaust? I had to cut the one on my 98 to get off - the one on my 02 just came right out nice and easy. I would cut at that middle piece with a sawzall or dremel.

DO NOT FORGET EYE PROTECTION WHEN WORKING UNDER A VEHICLE - one little metal scrap and it is over.

I can't turn the bolt because the head is oval shaped.

My harbor freight dremel blows so i just went and got a harbor freight recip saw too cut the bolt apparatus off.

I'm putting a catback on, do you think I am supposed to reuse this clamp?

Thanks

That nut is supposed to turn but it looks like this one won't.

Using a six point deep socket and a breaker bar, give it a nice big turn. It'll break so be ready for The Big Snap and don't get hurt.

A twelve point socket will just round the nut so:

A cutoff wheel on the center of the bolt where it goes through the clamp should take care of it.
