AIR Delete
I've looked in the stickies, and seen a couple posts with write-ups and pics, but none of the pics are there anymore. Does anyone else have a write-up or pics of the process? I'm wanting to do this to my '02 WS6 this weekend. Also, since mine is an '02, I don't have the EGR, correct? Everything is factory on the car motor-wise. I know I have to get the 2 plate covers and will possibly throw some codes. I live in TX, so I should be able to do this without any issues with getting it inspected, correct? Thanks for any help you can offer.

I'd re-think your decision if you're keeping everything else stock (CATS, etc.). Not going to gain anything except make the bay a little cleaner and lose a couple pounds. Not sure on TX emissions, none at all here in FL. '01-'02 cars came with the LS6 intake - and no EGR.

Some people have also reported that their mileage improved after deleting it, as well as getting rid of the damned popping on a down-shift. Guy was saying something about a one-way check valve that goes bad in the line right after the metal line on the manifolds....
Good info either way. I'm getting this taken care of on my 01 SS when I get home. Found some block off plates that actually had a little bit of *** to em', but they don't come with gaskets....
Car has 140k miles. Should I reuse my gaskets, get new ones, or do I even need them?

i took the EGR and AIR out at the same time (i know you dont have EGR)
i just got the plates, plugged the hole in the back of the intake ( i dont think you need to do that) and pulled the fuse for the AIR out.
i've been driving it for about 9 months and no codes have shown up and i've taken it through inspection and it passed.
and for the block off plates i just used gaskets.

Ok, so I got the block off plates and gaskets from the ws6store, got those put on, but what size is the bolt on the backside of the driver's side that holds that bracket on?
