I bought a SLP. Got it new for $90 shipped. I really wanted a clear lid, but I couldn't find one and kinda glad I didn't since i've seen some posts where they melt. I doubt any lid is going to fit as good as the stock piece. Just use some weather stripping or whatever and make sure it seals up good.

Some of the SLP lids fit like ****. Mine is one of them. I hear alot of them fit ok though. The backs don't sit all the way down on some. From pics I have looked at the Fast Toys looks like it fits much better.

I also have the SLP and it doesnt fit that great but I got mine at a great price 50 bucks for lid and smooth bellows, I would just do like the others on here are saying with using some weather stripping

I just searched for them and it seems that Whisper Motorsports still sells their lids. I've had their carbon fiber lid on my car for 11 years, no problems, fits awesome, been taken on/off about a hundred times... no cracks, no melting.

I bought a stainless steel lid off of Ebay for like 45 dollars I think and it looks good and fits decent but I also have a smoothe bellow so it was different for me a little bit but that is what I would recommend.

i was slightly concerned when my new slp lid came with a piece of weather stripping and instructions to put it on the back side of the lid. it does however fit pretty well. the right front sits slightly higher maybe 1/8 inch but causes no problems.
if i had my money back i would probably buy a FTP in a larger size since i may upgrade tb and intake someday.

I just got my k&n filter and SLP lid and smooth bellow in the mail this weekend (bought it all used for $80) and the SLP lid fits like garbage, I can't keep the clips on it. Probably because of the bellow but I got it all for $80 so I can't complain. I just can't keep the clips on.

As far as the clips go- make sure the front edge of the lid is *slightly* BEHIND the leading edge of the tray (the lower, fixed portion over the rad). Of course, the rear tabs on the lid have to be under the retainers (again, on the rad shroud) while angling the lid back and down. It is tight, but when properly positioned, the clips will have quite a bit of initial resistance then the effort eases up at the bottom of their travel, then *click* they bottom out, "locked" by leverage. If they are difficult to close or pop open after driving or even while looking at them (!) my bet is the leading edge of the lid is too far forward, start again. Hope this helps?

I ended up having to cut a small piece off of my smoothe bellow and added a small piece of the hose thingy I replaced with the smoothe bellow to attach the MAF to the lid so it wasn't just metal clamped to metal.
One of my clips still doesn't like to clamp down but all in all the lid fits okay and works properly as far as I know lol.

SLP Lid
Mine came with the piece of weatherstripping also. I put the lid in the oven for a while and it slid right on the MAFH. Making sure it was pushed all the way back when I installed it and it hasn't given me any problems with the latches coming loose. So far I am completely happy with it.

I have a 104mm fast toys clear and it fit like ****. I had to put extra screws through the perimeter of it to seal it against the air filter. If it wasn't clear I wouldn't have notice the air gaps and it would have dusted my engine.
