Default Headers on lowered car

I did a search and couldn't really find anything, I'm researching which headers have the best ground clearance on a lowered f-body before I pull the trigger.

im on the crappy eibach pro kit with bbk LTs + y. the ground clearance is actually better than it was with the factory y.

Anything but the old style SLP's shouldn't have a problem honestly.

I've heard ARH has one of the best ground clearances, I'm in talks with ARH stocking dealers now

my y pipe hangs lower than my headers. maybe the y pipe clearance should be your limiting factor

Yeah my y pipe hangs lower than the lt's too. On the driver side its a little lower than the passanger. I have sportlines and i barely clip speed bumps if i go over them at an angle.. I think just about any lt will have a problem with ground clearance.

So the problem is not the header is the Y-pipe right? which Y-pipe has the clearance? what if I go with catted Y.
Thanks for info.

Kooks headers, pick your choice of Y's catted or ORY you shouldn't have any problems. I've got the catted Y and have plenty of room.

Ive also heard good thing's about ARH. You will be fine with either

The headers are still part of the ground clearance issue people have with some exhausts(Headers/Y-pipe) hanging low, it's not only the Y-pipe.

My y hits everything. My car sits pretty damn low though. How far lowered are you?

^^ agreed, my friends 99 z28 had a set of hooker headers with a pacesetter Y pipe and it went over bumps and driveways fine, but once he got the edelbrock 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 with the pacesetter Y it hit everything. I also have the edelbrocks and if you look at the car from the driver side you can CLEARLY see the collector, as opposed to my friend's car who has a set of TSP 1 7/8 longtubes you can't see it at all.

I'm leaning toward the Kooks headers and Kooks ORY/Y-catted with solid motor mounts not 100% sure yet.

I've got around a 2" drop, and a hair under 2" ground clearance on the Y-pipe on the driver side.
This is at ride height.

What brand of Y-pipe do you have? That's some real nice clearance there.
