Best inexpensive long tubes for 2002 Z/28???
Have an all stock 2002 z/28 looking to put a set of long tubes on it with an off road y. FITMENT and HORSEPOWER is my biggest concern. I have a 98 z28 also that came with ebay headers and they fit terrible and hit the k memeber and floor. So I was thinking BBK but they only have a 2.5 outlet..... Or if no one suggests those PACESETTER,HOOKER,TSP. Please throw in your two cents and price is a big issue since I'm on a poor college student budget lol.

I just recently installed the BBK's. I wouldn't worry about the 2.5" Y pipe. I highly doubt that two 3" pipes going into a single 3" pipe is any better than the BBK with 2.5" pipes going into a single 3".
Plus I like the ground clearance that the BBK Y-pipe gives. Also, from what i've read the pacesetter Y-pipe merge sucks. I think the TSP Y is supposed to be better.

It's just that I have the shitty ebay headers on my 98 z/28 and they rattle my brain apart at stoplights clanking on the floor and I think the custom y pipe my exhaust shop made isn't helping either. So I want these to fit the best and not make ANY noise.

I have the bbk's and i only payed about $370 for them. They fit great and i have yet to scrape them anywhere. As for horsepower i would not be able to tell you since i have never dyno'd my car but i felt a difference in power and the sound is great. By far the best purchase I have ever made for my camaro. Also the install went smoothly and did not have to remove anything and they slid right in.

I also have BBK, ceramic coated for only $470. Fitment is fantastic and quality is top notch. Y pipe tucks in very nicely with plenty of ground clearance. The merge on the BBK ORY is also fantastic

I have had the chrome BBK's and ORY for a few months now. Fit is second to none (no notching, no rattles or rubbing, no steering shaft removal... hands down the easiest headers I've ever installed), chrome still looks brand new, sound is damn near perfect, and the ORY tucks up nice and neat, I have yet to find a single speed bump to scrape. HIGHLY recommended, especially when you get both the headers/ory for less than $400.

I bought a set of coated pacesetter long tubes from a member on here last week. I want to run cats, and most guys say that the TSP Y-pipe is the way to go.... are there any other good alternatives to the TSP catted Y? The set I bought did not have 0-2 wire extentions, will these be needed on my 2000 Z A4? Thanks in advance.
