Default Is this cam too much?

I have a opportunity to get a comp cam 242/250 .612/.612 114 at a decent price. I want a cam that will be real rough @ idle but still streetable.

Stock bottom end

Current mods in sig...

Future mods:
Intake (most likely a FAST 102)
T/B will match intake, we will call it a NW 102 for now
Appropriate Springs and pushrods to the cams specs
Timing chain
LS6 or Meling oil pump
4.10 gears
Tune
Suspension
Tire

Stock heads for now, however I plan on getting some eventually.

I plan on using the stock rear end (aside from a gear) and tranny until they go KABOOM, then I will upgrade from there.

I am leaning towards a 3600 stall...but do you think I will need to go up to a 4000?

Do you think this cam is too much? Do you think a 11.x time and mid 4's rwhp is out of the question as well?

What do you think...opinions please....thanks

Seemed to big to me as well...looks like a stroker cam.

Guess I am glad I went with my gut and told the dude I'd get back to him...

4000 converter Unless you plan on spraying.

Wayyy to big. Get all bolt-ons and stall before doing the cam swap. You will see way better gains. No reason to do it backwards IMO. I would say get a 3600ish stall and a high 220's cam or low 230's cam after you get full bolt-ons aquired.

Don't be scared go for it. 5000 stall 4.56's and a turbo 350 maybe. Its huge for a street driven stock cube car. If it was drag only car ??

No cam will go in my car until I get all the supporting bolt-on's.

I think I am going to stick with my original idea and get a 23x cam.

If your getting it for a good price, buy it. You could always make money from it.
