Default What kind of gains by jumping up to 1-7/8 TSP LT

Im thinking about making the jump to TSP's 1-7/8 headers and off road y-pipe. My pacesetters are getting old and the y-pipe is garbage. What kind of gains could I expect "mods in sig" with what is done to my car already?

TSP posted a 10rwhp gain from that switch with only a FAST intake. Search for it to see for yourself.

With no loss in bottom end also. But you could Mayby see more with the better flowing y-pipe! If you can get a time slip and do the install and see how much it drops and post it. Soo many people will be interested in seeing that.

I'm running the 1 3/4 Pacesetters at the moment and I am about to switch over to some TSP 1 7/8 along with their stainless ORY. I'm hoping to see gains in the double digits...I think I have the supporting mods to get me there. I will post up my results in a thread after the install.

The more mods you have, the bigger the gains are going to be.

no doubt youll gain a number in the double digits. pacesetters are shortys or mid length headers. from similar mods and the switch from edelbrocks to arh 1 7/8s i gained close to 20 horses.

TSP's new SS ORY has gotten some good reviews.

Umm Pacesetter makes LT's. I'm running them right now. So not sure what exactly you are speaking about in your reply.

If there's such a big gain from going with just a slightly better ( and bigger ) header, why are so many guys so adament that all anyone needs is the cheapo Ebay headers?

Because people are naive, those are the same people saying that a fast 102 is too big for a stock cubed motor, that true duals do nothing and that 42lb injectors are necessary for a cam only setup. A lot of bad info out there

HOLD ON... lemme get this straight... the LONGTUBE pacesetters are behind a 1-7/8 TSP Header by 20 horse power? Is that what's supposedly being said in this thread?

Wandering if this is true or not? This is not sarcasm this is an honest question

Going from 13/4 to 17/8 and a better flowing y-pipe .. with a heads cam car should be double digit gains in upper rpm's !!!!
