Default Poll: TSP Stainless or Hooker Stainless Headers?

I'm ditching my Hedman painted headers, as they have rusted through after only 3 years. I've narrowed my search down to these two header options. Obviously, the TSP has a 1-7/8" primary, and I do plan on a set of heads in the future. Let me know what you guys think.

I have the Hooker and they to have rusted pretty bad (ceramic coated). The fitment is good and ground clearance is alright..

I have the Hooker 1 7/8s and they have excellent fit/finish and ground clearance. TSPs seem to have good reviews as well, but I've never seen them in person.

Last time I looked those 1 7/8 stainless hookers were really high priced. I would go with the TSP 1 7/8 stainless if they really ended up keeping the price down like planned.

i had a little issue with my hooker headers. might just be bad luck on my order, but my primaries were a little off center and they didnt line up perfectly with the exhaust ports. it made lining up the gaskets a real pain and blew 2 sets of gaskets before it lined up with enough gasket to seal. also, the primaries protrude from the flange, unlike the tsp's, so you need to take extra caution when tightening. the thin flanges bend easily. if mine rust too much, and i decide to go stainless, i will most likely be getting tsp

on a good note, the ground clearance is good, and 3 installs later, im having no issues with them.

Thanks for all the input guys, everyone pretty much seems to be inline with where I was going anyway. I've heard some great things about the TSP headers (minus some minor installation woes) but I'm replacing my motor mounts while I'm down there anyway, so it won't be an issue. Looks like I'll be getting them by the end of the month!

Did those stainless tsp headers even come out yet? How much are they?

Edit... nevermind. How in the world were they able to keep these the same price as the non stainless? Unreal deal.

Yes they just started making them again. I I'm not mistaken, they are right around 500

I have hooker headers. Fitment is good and they are easy to put on. Quality isn't superb.

I have only seen photos of TSP's.

If you can wait, you can't beat the price of the TSPs. If you need them now then hooker is still a good choice.

When I was young, Hedman Headers always made the best numbers for any engine with their 4 into 2 into 1 scavenging system.
All the early pro stocks ran em.
Do they not make stainless applications compared to the rest?

Not too sure whether they do or not; I kinda want to get away from Hedman anyway. They put the o2 bung on the opposite side of the collector which makes it a real bitch to keep the o2 sensor wires out of the way enough to not get fried. The fitment and ground clearance was phenomenal though...

If I ever need to step up to a 1 7/8", I'm gonna pick up a set of the TSPs.

my hooker headers have the passenger side o2 sensor pointing to the outside of the car. it was a little harder to keep the wires away from the heat.
