Default Better Flowing than the Dual Dual?

Have the Slp Dual Dual currently and through the cut out I picked up about 15-20hp and tq. Looking for suggestions, looked through Magnaflow, Mufflex, Spintech. Anyone use any of these and had good results?

I picked up somewhere around 3 RWHP and TQ with my cutout open over my dual/dual. It is one of the better flowing catbacks out there. Of course, you also make about 40 HP more than what my car made.

Take the silence ring out of your dual/dual and keep what you got. That's what kills your power with that catback.

Some cars came with it, some didn't. It's only on one side, the common way to check for it is stick a coat hanger into the drivers side tip and see if it jams before it hits the muffler.

Your car and my old setup is making about the same power. My old set up with the same heads you have, 232/236-646/612@114LSA custom cam made 447rwhp and 403rwtorqe with a ported Fast 90/90mm and I had true duals so I never used a cut out but that is impressive #'s with the cutouts open.. Oh and I ran a best of 10.90@123mph with a 1.46 60ft on the motor.

No true duals, my ypipe is very nice and seems to flow very well. I am just looking to open up the catback for better performance without the noise.

probably the only option is a magnaflow if you want it quiet. I have a gmmg on my other SS and its not bad at all with the catted y. Sounds awesome at W.O.T and is tame while cruising, but it is definitely louder than the dual dual.

Question

Where is your cutout located, after the rear axle, or where?

Mine is located in the intermediate pipe before it goes over the axle.
