Lid too, how could I forget?

Windows need to be tinted as well. Exhaust/headers is a must though, current set up rubs/rattles and is connected to manifolds. Maybe I can hold off on a shifter until more money is flowing.

pullies are a cheap mod you might want to consider.

Headers and exhaust. You could get one of the 25 dollar short sticks. I actually like them. Lid and Subframe connectors and don't forget to do motor mounts while you got the headers off or you'll regret it later.

I'd say, SFC, headers & exhaust. I'm also a fan of "make it look mean", so tint and lower. Might be able to lower it still within budget depending on how much you spend on header/exh.

Start with "go" upgrades before "show". Better to have a sleeper than a slow car that looks good. Headers, exhaust or save for Forced Induction bolt on 120 hp.

After modding two cars in my life so far I would say save more money to do things right and do things mostly all at once to save time and energy unbolting/dissasembling/tuning. Also save some moeny for when sh*t hits the fan. Always good to have back up cash.

I'd love to do a procharger D1SC, but from the looks of things it would be like 8k from start to finish. Can't afford that for quite a while.

The first thing hands down to do on these cars is get a good set of shocks on them. Bilsteins (best comfort) or Konis ($$ best handling). Then lid, full exhaust, and a tuning tool (EFILive or HPTuners). Shifter if you have the non-Hurst base shifter.

I feel you! I Told my wife that I was going to do this car a little smarter than my last. I'm 25 now, but when I was 17 I had my first car, an 87 trans am. I ended up putting a ZZ502 into it. No suspension work at all. After 3 rear ends, and 2 transmissions I ended up getting rid of the car. Had 4 inch tears behind the side windows across the roof. Sat crooked as hell.

I have to do heads/exhaust at the minimum to this one though. The current set up is some backyard custom Y pipe into a Magnaflow glass-pack look-a-like and dumps right beside the tranny pretty much. It rubs/bangs like a bastard.

I bought the car in 2007 and have put 8k miles on it in 4 years. When I bought it, I had about $15k to put into it but ended up having some life altering events. 4 years later it is now my DD and we're just now recovering from some debt, So i'm having to take it slow. Wife says this year we can spend 2k to make up for the last 2 Christmas's plus this one.

So far, I'm looking at Pacesetter LT's with TS ORY-pipe. from TSP (sponsor). A friend is telling me to dump it right after that to save money, but I'm really keen to this Borla cat-back. After that I'm looking at a shifter (stock one feels like im rowing a boat compared to when I drove my dads vette.) and being in Florida, I need to grab some window tint.

Edit: and if money is left over, I was thinking SFC's.
