I am wondering how to get the blade on my tb to open all the way up when i am at full throttle right now it only opens up half way. Any ideas?

Hmm, is your throttle cable loose or damaged maybe? If you turn the throttle body blade by hand does it open all the way?

Yea if i turn it by hand it will open all the way but not by stepping on the throttle. I don't know if its damaged or how to check if its damaged. Im sure its not but not sure. Yes it is an aftermarket tb. Its an 80mm on my ls6 intake. Is there a way to cut down the factory drive by wire to make it shorted to allow it to open the tb all the way? Or is that just a bad idea?

You may have the wrong tb or tb cable gm has three different cams on the side of the tb and they make to different tb cables for an f body I would say if yours is not opening all the way u have a 98 tb cam and a 99 up cable the way to fix it rite is to change the cam on the tb or change the throttle cable but if ur looking for a no cost did u could bent the gas peddle to make it pull more or tie a knot in the cable to make it shorter

Look for a set screw that attaches the bellcrank. Its probably just loose. Push the throttle blade closed, and tighten it when the bellcrank is in the closed position

I looked at what everyone suggested and found the cable was loose at the gas pedal so I made a spacer to tight up the cable. Now the tb opens up like 90% of the way and the response is much better. Its not 100% but damn close.
