Default My car needs better induction but is a 104 Lid + 100mm MAF too much?

Well my 99 WS6 is being severely restricted by the intake tract, and I want to get the best induction set up I can ( and make the most power possible ).
The mods are in the sig.
My choice is between a regular LID for about 50 bucks
or a bigger Lid such as a Fast Toys 104 piece and a 100mm MAF.

Do you guys think I'll see any noticeable gain from the bigger lid and MAF? Or should I just stick with a regular LID?

most guys on here will say that a 104lid and 100maf wont gain as much as you think with out everything else (tb and intake) being the same size. look into FTP 98 lid and a comparable maf. You will still have a restriction bottle neck with your stock tb and intake opening. But for any future plans the 104lid and 100 maf would ahve you in good shape for the future of bigger tb and intake.

His sig says he is running a Performer intake with a carb... no stock throttle bodies there...

Go for it, a Nick Williams 102 and TSP MAF would be the cheapest way while maintaining quality

Ya, the 76 is a much simpler beast....
$50 bucks vs $300 plus a tune... the HP better be worth it... any other input? Should I go for it?

i had a 98mm FTP lid, z06 maf, and fast 90, i thought that was a pretty good stock cube setup, just my opinion!

Big as possible....always.

I remember back in 2002 when my 427ci was built, all we had were stock TB's and a couple that were a tad larger. I was asking around for a 100mm back then and everyone said I was an idiot for wanting one so big.....that it wouldn't help at all.

Looks like I was right way back 10 years ago......

Now everyone is wanting larger stuff and companies are making 105mm TB's and still....thats not big enough for 427ci's and larger engines. 8 cylinders sucking air...no way a 105mm is optimal.....no way.....
I'd like to put as 105mm TB on each side to feed 4 cylinders each.......with an intake like the Viper has.

I'm getting the 105mm TB for my 441ci and 104mm lid, and I think a SD tune so I don;'t have to use a 100mm MAF.

BIG BIG BIG......always....any engine.

.
