Talking BBK headers and ORY

I am considering buying these from ws6store. Is $355 with free shipping a good price on these? How hard can I expect the install of these to be compared with bigger name brands of headers. Think 2 people could do it? And what type of gains should I see with a catback, lid and a tune coming after the headers?

These headers are by far the easiest headers I've ever installed in any car...they literally slid right in, in fact they slid in so easy we had to rig them up so they didn't fall out on their own when we let the car back down to bolt everything up

I did have one problem though. My catback did not reach the ory for whatever reason. I think i seem to be the only one to have that problem...no big deal though I just welded on an extension pipe

it took me all of an hour to get the manifolds out and the longtubes in. another hour to lengthen my 02 sensors since i didnt get extensions. i also had a lift and power tools so it made it easier.

I was considering getting those, then I heard the ORY was only 2.5". Besides that, they look like a killer deal.

They are very nice headers for the money. Installed them on my Dad's 98 SS in less than 4 hours without a lift and the help of a buddy. They really woke the car up and mated up to the Borla catback without any issues. If I wasn't doing a turbo build on my 01 Z28 I would pick up a set for it.

the y pipe isnt going to leave much on the table with what hes doing(headers cat back lid and tune)

also going from manifolds to the bbks was a difference of 13hp, dont remember the torque and i cant find my graphs. pre headers i just had lid, cat back, and ported throttle body and manifold and tuned.

I've sold a few of those sets and have had nothing but great luck. If anybody needs a holiday special on these...

With these headers do you need an o2 extension? If I bought these today and planned on getting my car tuned in the future.. What all would I need to buy with them?

i manually extended my o2 harnesses instead of buying the extensions. they provide wire to do so but i used my own and heat shrink and did it right and re loomed it all. i did not use the gasket that they provide, i reused the stock. to make your life a ton easier you should get loctite and remove the old stuff on the factory bolts unlesss you buy new ones
