Default Does an ls6 intake stick up higher than a ls1 intake

In other words I have an EdelBrock tower brace and it hugs my ls1 intake pretty much just touching it...When I swap to a ls6, will this be a problem..or does it sit at the same height as the ls1?

i think it actually sits lower since you have to grind down the tabs underneath

The only reason to grind the tabs on the bottom is to let a stock LS1 coolant pipe run under it. other than that is dimensionally the same, except the floor is flat instead of having a wave in it.

Ditch the tower brace as they really don't help much.

The manifolds have the same height. The difference is in the bottom.

My car is tighter around turns with the strut bar. Dual tube designs are better than single tube designs.

I have the strut tower brace and when I installed my LS6 mani it did touch the brace. I took it off and ground it down some where it hit the manifold and good to go.

i can't really say the manifold is taller because I installed solid mm's the same time the manifold went on. Something made my manifold sit about 1/2" higher though.

I have a cheap single bar strut tower brace on my 2001 ss and its nowhere near touching. I had the brace on my old 98 car from when it was stock too and was nowhere near hitting the intake either.
