Default weird rpm issue I think it's the tb

So I put a ported and polished tb on my car today and it is worth doing . However my car is a manual and when I am in neutral riding a hill my rpm's are at 2,000 . Or when I am doing 50 in 6th gear and I press the clutch in and go to neutral and go to a stop my rpm's rise while decelerating .Sometimes it idles at 1,100 but it will even out later to 900 . I am pretty sure my tb has something to do with it because my old stock one never did this . Any ideas ? And my car has traction control . I searched and all I could find was information about a sticking tb blade . I don't see how that can be because my rpm's will rise when I'm idling .

Older ls1 cars (98-2000) have a smaller cam on the throttle blade that allows the blade to open faster. If you switch it out with a newer throttle body, the car will not idle correctly. you have to switch the blades out from your stock throttle body.

I fixed it....

The TB was over-ported. Seemed weird what it was doing, you wouldn't think that was the problem. Basically enough air was getting in around the sides that you could fill in the hole in the center that's suppose to be for idling when the TB is shut all the way.

It probably has always done that. Put your nice new red one on and find out for sure.
