Default Camaro pans ?

I have been looking at used pans for my jetboat project , and I gotta say I am stumped . I have been told that a F body pan will work for what I am doing , so I have been watching the classified section for pans . What I really want to know is why everone with a used Camaro pan is asking more for it than a new one ? I can order the pan new with pickup , gasket , and bolts for $222 with free shipping . Most of the used pans I see people are asking $250 for them . Is there something better about the factory Camaro pan that I don't know about ? I guess people can sell thier parts for whatever they want to , but I just don't get why the used ones would be worth more than the new ones ?

you can get a cheap lq4 pan for like 50 bucks... the camaro pan is really the only pan that has enough clearance for most swaps... The lq4 pan is from a truck and should work great for your boat.

I have a truck pan already , I need an F body pan .

What the question was though , is if there is something the original pan has that the GMPP pan doesnt have . I can get just the pan for $187 , and the pan with everything for $222 . Why are people paying so much more for used parts instead of buying new ? I am sure there is something I am overlooking , just not sure what it could be ?
