Default is my asp underdrive pulley all the way in?

i'm reinstalling my asp underdrive pulley after an oil pump change/upgrade. i didnt take any pictures prior to removal so i cant compare where it sits now vs before. but i can still see about 1/4" of the shiny part of the shaft.

i thought that the 1st step down/lip on the shaft from the pulley was going to butt up against the seal but it's about 1/4" away and i cant get it to budge any further. the pulleys look like they line up fairly close. not that it should matter but im running a double roller chain an everything has been clearenced properly and been in service for about 30k miles.

You'll see a little bit of it. Put the belts on and check your alignment that way. You'll defintely be able to tell if the pulley off when you put the belts on.
