Default oil pressure problem

Heard a rumor today that lt1 motors require rod bearings with rounded ends is this true for ls1 cars as well?

Rounded ends?? Ask the person who told you this to show you one, and post a pic of it here. Some cranks do require bearings with a very small bevel on the side due to having a small fillet ground into the bearing journals for added strength.

Dont know who told you that, but You are getting some bad information. Bearings do have a tapered edge that corresponds with the tapered edge of the large rod end. Bearings are flat on the ends, they but up against each other. Your chain is being yanked.
Picture will be priceless.
