Default Will I loose power going from a fast 90/90 to a LS 6 & stock 78mm TB ?

I meant lose not Loose LOL

I know this may sound crazy but there are lots of guys way over 400 rwhp with a LS 6 intake.
SOOO

To finance the new Turbo LS build in the Chevelle I am turning the DD 01 Z-28 back into just that a daily driver. I made 403 rwhp with the fast 90/9o and a EPS cam.

I am tempted to sell the Fast 90 intake and buy a LS 6 manifold with a stock 78mm Throttle body. Since this setup has always had the 78 mm MAF and the 78mm SLP air lid with the fast 90/90 anyway.

I am hoping the little stock 78mm TB will still make 400 rwhp since the MAF and air lid that the fast 90 sucked through was 78mm anyway. what do you think?

Nope it's never going to happen, you're going to lose some power; especially with Fast 90 being ported!
I would say you'll lose at least 10rwhp.

Put it this way; if you sell the FAST 90 (RARE piece now) you may just want it back as a supporting mod down the road... Then you'll have to shell out that money to go back to what you already had. You're ahead of the game now... Keep it and see if there's anything else you can sell to fun the turbo swap.

You'll lose power. I agree with ^^ him.

you're going FI. you'll gain more than the lost 10hp with the turbo so if you need the cash to finish the build, id go for it. the LS6 flows really well and being turbo 10hp lost on the high rpm side wont be missed.

You can sell it and profit but I would buy anything but an LS6. Personally I'd keep it

You already have a great intake, You can sell it for probably around 600 +/- quickly in there, a LS6 is gonna run you around 300, so make your decision on that,, Personally, I would keep it, Its a good proven setup that you already have in your possesion. Cant go wrong by keeping it, Put in a little OT and get the funds that way..

Ported and polished throttle body and a gm 85mm maf will probably keep you around the same power.

The turbo fi set up in the chevelle is getting a edlebrock pro flow aluminum intake manifold.
I was just hoping to put my fast 90 mm tb on that edlebrock cast aluminum intake.

Is it really that hard to make 400 rwhp with a ls 6 manifold? And a stock tb?

No, it's simple. As long as the heads/cam can move enough air, the LS6 will handle it. I'd suggest an 85mm TB instead of the stock TB.

IMO, just wait a little longer and get another 90mm tb.
You can get a new edebrock 90 tb for under $300 if you don't need it to come with a new IAC and TPS, if you do then about $350.
