Default Weiand lingenfelter vs PP Typhoon Intake

So I am looking to change up the intake manifold on my car, and am wondering how these 2 compare? The LS6 is overrated IMO, I have done one on 3 98-00 cars and never felt a difference. I have a buddy who did a lingenfelter signature series intake and swears he felt a def difference compared to when he has also bolted on an LS6 in the past. More mid range and top end he says. Now I am looking at the polished Typhoon 96 intake just to get something different that everyone else dont have, wondering if anyone has ever compared these 2?
I see alot of people were wondering about the typhoon when I did a search but nobody ever posted dyno results or anything with good info. Hopefully now some people have more info on this? I am also probably going FI with this car so another reason id like to have an aluminum intake now.

The LS6 isnt overrated but it is overpriced. I would go with the Typhoon, has more room to grow over the Weiand

It really depends on your modifications because one can have better flow numbers than the other depending on what you have. It always seems like the magazines are testing an all out race motor when they do the tests

My car will probably go from bolt ons to turbo so I dont expect to see 15rwhp over an ls6 but I would expect more mid range and big end with the bigger opening. Throttle response as well.

Looks like you gained less than 10 hp with the 1200 dollar intake and throttle body.

Yep.

I always thought Fast intakes were WAY overpriced. Those intakes should be less than $500, new.

Sorry for laughing, but if the LS6 is overrated in your mind, why are considering the Weiand? It's modeled after the LS6, even says LS6 style in the product description. If you must go aluminum go with the Typhoon or even a BBK so you can have a larger TB on that as well.

Maybe. But my 102 combo was found never used on CL for much less. And my 102 went on a 383, not a 346.

But if I'm wrong, you can pick up my Typhoon from me for "cheap"

Sure, and right, are two different things. I measured the manifold temp on
mine. And posted it. What've you got?

Regurgitated information from other unreliable sources, more than likely.

Im considering the typhoon mostly, all depends on what I find for the right price, just want to try something different and plan to go FI so id rather have an aluminum one anyways

I read your post, found it when doing a search on these intakes, good information there. Heat soak is old wives tale.
