Default LS6, FAST 90,92 or 102???

Recently cracked my lower end on the FAST90. I have to get a new intake, but at this point, I am very skeptical about the 102.

How much power is the 102 worth over a 90, if any?? web links?

I may have to fix my 90 somehow. Are there other options out there?
See engine in sig.

On a 416 the gains would be double digit easily. My friend gained a solid 10 over his 90 on his heads and cam vette and stock cubes still.

102 don't have any gains tq under 4000rpm, probably loses torque if I would have to guess from what I've seen but if looking for a peak. NUmber go 102

I've got more torque than most cars off idle, so thats not a problem.

Again pm sweets10v8 he has countless dyno charts on lqs and ls motors. I personally know people running them. Here's a chart vs a stock ls2. Notice the huge gain in tq

thanks for the reference. That pretty much says it. But I noticed that Vengeance never posted their 440ci results. I'm guessing that test was marginal at best.

Or they never did it. But either way the gains will be greater on a 416 because the air needed is greater

Well Blk98Vert did! Where's yours? or are we supposed to believe words? Where's the proof?

I run one, and know how my car went before & after....so I take it you are running a 102 because I know you just wouldn't be mouthing off on just 'hear say' 'aye'

Ls2 intake isn't an ls6 I've seen those tests...I wish they made a 300mm fast that's what I would get

Weren't you the one talking about how a large diameter lid would "slow your velocity down" and making a fuss over that, and now you want a 300mm intake??

It was a joke man...everyone being so uptight I had to break the tension lol....just trying to make point that there is a point where runner can be less than optimal, specifically on a stock cube motor...that's all i was saying until the ls1tech mafia put a multi thread hit out on me lol...

But you were wrong with the 102.

Within reason more air is never a bad thing.

You have "hard facts" like you posted, while having threads as so: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...78-ported.html

Again we arent being uptight just preventing the spread of bad info. I would absolutely run a 102 all day on my stock internal car. But since I know I can get a FAST 78 for 400 from a friend and that internally they are identical to the 90s, and that I can make it a FAST 85 with nothing more than a dremel I am going to get that. Will I be giving up power to the 102? Absolutely. I am choosing to run the 78 for cost, not because Ill lose all low end which is BS

But see when you say the 102 will gain over the 90 (which is true when it comes to peak power) but you leave out the fact that at minimum the power shifts in the rpm range...I have seen countless tests where a 102 replaces an LS6 and it loses tq in the lower rom range, and while I don't have an experience with the *** dyno I'm not lying either...search Gmhightechperformance and hot rod ls1 cam tests and you will see what I'm describing...(and don't give me the magazine conspiracy theorist comment bc that's a whole other conversation in itself)
