Default True dual question

so I have been entertaining the idea of true dualing my trans am for a while now, and I think im finally going to do it. I called up exhaust pros in commerce city, Colorado and they said if I get my own headers, mufflers, and cats they would put it all together for 300. So I was curious if anyone knows where I could maybe get like a package deal for all three or at least the mufflers and cats. im doing a 2 and quater inch pipe with an x pipe.

- Thanks

Do 2 1/2 minimum. Planet magnaflow sells the mufflers and cats together on their site

And more back pressure is good.

Free flowing exhaust makes power.

3" true duals will make more power and sound better.

I hate "performance shops" or the like that spread info like that.

Let me guess they said to use flowmasters too? There's nothing wrong with the 10 series but most shops like that don't use them

Funny they are the 1 thing I won't, everybody has flowmaster around me. OP post in your regional section and find a new shop. Or just buy the TSP duals and take the guesswork out of it

yeah i would for sure look at the true dual stickey, i have the tsp duals and love them, there loud but sound great, honest buying the tsp kit might be cheaper in the long run, is there a reason why you want cats ? if your worried about e check or something check the laws, where i live the exhaust has to go past the rear axle

If they said 2 1/4 , then they have not done true duals on LS1 fbody before or its because they are not making anything on your job at 300 and don't want to go to bigger pipe . Bottom line if this shop does good work and will do a custom system 3" over the axle and is supplying the pipe for 300 There is nothing to think about do it. But that sounds TGTBT !

consider a y pipe with a flowmaster 3in - 4in merge and a cutout then a 4"-3" reduced before the muffler. PatG ftw.
