Default turning crank for 1.850 rods

I have a set of lightweight rods (525 grams) that I picked up for cheap but they have a 1.850 journal. I was wondering if it was possible to find a crank and turn it down to size? There just sitting in my garage and with my application there not worth buying a custom crank. Would this work on a stock crank or forged? Could I just buy a scratched crank that had a thrown bearing on a rod and turn it over? How far would I have to turn it and where would I find bearings?

That's a 0.25" cut, you might consider an offset grind to increase your stroke if you don't have pistons yet. You could get a 0.2" stroke increase with room left for a future regrind...

You'll definitely be grinding through the heat-treat, but it's done every day. The steel (crank) is still a bunch harder than the bearings.
