NEED HELP! installing under drive pulley
Ok I posted this up not that long ago about not being able to get my Powerbond UD pulley on and I thought I got it but am still having problems. All my other stock pulleys have sat flush with the crank but I have never had a UD pulley so Im not sure if this is correct. I have installed a stock pulley a few times with no problems but this one went on harder than normal. I got it to this point and it got to the point where I was fighting it to get it on anymore. Plus it doesnt look like it can go anymore but my pulley and water pump pulley are inline Here are pics, Let me know what you guys think.

I don't know if it will slip on any more. If the belt lines up I would say that's is far as it needs to go. The fact that the front does not look like its seated all the way is questionable. I have found if you put the balancer in the oven at 250* for about 10 min it makes for a much easier install. Mine was not keyed it was just torqued to about 1 million foot lbs. ok maybe not that much but I torqued it to some crazy numbers.

I made my own install tool like the "hawk" tool. It's around three quarters of an inch from the end yet but it seems to be lined up. The other problem is I don't think it can go any farther back without hitting the timing cover. The pulley is a c5 pulley since I have a c5 accessory drive. Motor is a 5.3 been bored to a ls1 and is using a full ls1 rotating assembly.

Pull it off, measure from the end of the crank to the outer edge of the oil pump gear and compare that to the end-to-end measurement of the balancer bore. As stated in post #7, the latter measurement should be slightly smaller than the former, not 3/4". If you keep getting this 3/4", you have something wrong somewhere...
