Default Input on headers

So I've been searching for headers for a while for my 99 trans am and I can across these. I'm wondering if there any good of worth it. Or if I should just buy something like pacesetters and a separate y-pipe. BTW I'm looking for a decently priced LT and an off-road y-pipe.

I don't have the BBK's however, I haven't seen anyone say something bad about them. They are not my header of choice but they are a quality piece from all the reviews I have seen posted. Good luck.

Been running pacesetters and ran their off road y for almost 3 years. No issues.

But, if i was in the market right now for some nice priced headers it would be TSP 1 7/8.

Coated Pacesetters and TSP's Stainless 3in y. Got it all new for $500. Best budget LT's out there.

I have the BBK on mine and they fit like a charm. If you want a quality part with ease of installation BBK is the answer. I has never installed headers before and was able to do this in a few hours, the thing that took me the longest was getting the damn dipstick tube out.

I've done quite a few header installs with all brands basically. Kooks, Grots, Pacesetters and my BBK's. Hands down every header needing some kind of cutting or small denting to make fit where my BBK's literally fell in. The y pipe merge on the BBK is also a great flowing piece. Not that TSP's isnt, they both looks very similiar also but the BBK is a great bang for the buck

I have been seeing alot of users posting lately that the BBK's fit great. The MAC's you put up are midlength headers, not long tubes. Pacesetters black painted are what I had for over 5 years on my old car. Never had an issue. Yeah they rusted some, but never rusted through. My pacesetters fit really well. I dont remember having to do anything to get them in besides slide them in. But the pacesetter ypipe does have a crappy merge. If I needed headers now, I would definitely look at the BBK headers and ypipe.

kooks are what i run and quality header no doubt.

budget header i would go with tsp 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 and their ORY I feel they better made at the merge than the shitty pacesetter restrictive ORY. they also come with all the clamps needed if you arent going to weld the ory together

pacesetter LTs will also work with tsp off road ory as i have that set up on my 99

Thanks for all the input, but I just noticed that the BBK don't have egr fittings. Will that cause a problem or can it be blocked off easily?

You can toss the egr stuff on your car and buy the block off plate for your intake. Or you can just pick up an expansion plug from a parts store. It may throw a code, but that is easily tuned out.

If you're considering BBK, don't forget their Y is only 2.5" and not 3"

May not be a deal breaker for you, but it wasn't even on my radar for that reason.

True...It's 2.5 until it hits the merge then it goes back to 3".
