Default OPSU relocate

Yes, I've searched... a bunch. I really want to do this as it would result in not having to worry about the fool thing when pulling and removing the intake.

I've read about drilling/tapping the bolt-on boss part above the oil filter, but the OPSU threads are almost as big as the OD of the part that it would thread into.

Is there another sender that has smaller threads that would work? My car is a '99 btw, these threads look to be 16mm.

I had thought about this too. I came to the conclusion I'm just going to run a fitting where the port is behind the intake and machine a block that the sending unit and line from the fitting will attach and put it up toward the radiator somewhere. Or mount it to the side of The block on an unused bolt hole.

I'm looking for adapter fittings to use, found this guy which might work (RUS-640830):

6AN is 9/16-18 which I think would work. I just hope it doesn't make the whole thing too tall to fit under the head (heads and headers are off the car at the moment).

Here's what I ended up doing...

I decided I didn't want the thing so close to the exhaust, so I mounted it off a little bracket I made that bolts to where my new throttle cable comes through the firewall.

russell 640830 M16 X1.5 female to 6AN
russell 670530 M16 X1.5 male to 6AN

A new copper washer for the block fitting, and an O-ring inside the one the sensor screws into. And an 11" hunk of hose with 90 degree ends I got off ebay for like 11 bucks.
