Default My Catch Can SUCKS!!!!

so i got one of those ebay catch cans about 1 year ago, and it came with blue seethrough hose. so by the end of the year i decide to empty it, and not one drop! i look at the hose and the side from the PCV valve to the catch can side is really dirty and lined with oil, and so is the catch can to manifold side!!!!! WTF i am still going between 1/2-1quart low each oil change, and i just think it is making its way through with no "catching" going on! can anyone suggest a good one, or point me in the right direction?

Yes, hence why I said it works. I only had it on for maybe 2-3k miles and it had enough in it to pour out.

OP, does your catch-can have any filter media inside? Steel wool or the like? That "could" be the issue if you don't.

I have been using the Home Depot air separator and it catches alot of oil, I just ordered an Ebay Catch can though I plan on putting a scrub pad or something inside it to help catch more.

OP, are you sure its not leaking and dripping oil on the ground?

I bought a AMW catch can off a member on here, and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. I have a 16oz water bottle half full of oil from it. I usually dump it every oil change, and I get quite a bit out of it. It may not catch 100% of the oil, but I would say it does good at catching 95% of it. I still get a residue on my tb and intake, but not nearly as bad as it used to be.

The only one that won't get any blow-by is the RX performance can because it has a self contained check valve.

IMO, my LS6 valley cover really didn't make a difference. I 'd get either a RX Performance or a Saikou Michi dual LS1 Catch Can.

My first CC (mike norris) looked almost exactly like that, it worked but not good enough. I now have a RX CC working in conjunction with the MN CC. Probably overkill but it works great.

do yourself a favor and get a RX catch can man. The fit and finish is amazing and works the best out of all the other catch cans.
