Default Cleaning FAST Intake

Was wondering, which is the best method to clean a FAST intake without messing up the rope gasket? Will simple green do the job? Thanks.

Simple Green is pretty caustic and if used should be used diluted, and rinsed thoroughly soon after application. I would use detergent (dishwashing liquid or Tide).

are you talking about taking it apart or leaving it together?

Leaving it together. Ill take it apart if I have to but would rather not.

just get some of that purple power degreaser, dilute it 10 to 1 (10 parts water 1 part degreaser) and spray it in there (the 10 parts water being hot), and then wash it out with hot water. that is how i cleaned mine when i bought it used

Nothing I used would break down all the burnt on oil in mine. I had to take it apart and sand everything off, but the gasket didn't rip. After I saw all that **** I bought a catch can.

just spray paint over all the dirt and oil, that's what I did lol :p

i cleaned mine but just couldnt stop lol. i just took the top off. i ordered new gasket but the original could be used i believe anyway. i used greased lightning wipes. worked good
