i have no idea about those..but may i ask why would you waste 170$ on it? stock maf is good up to 400+ rwhp and from your sig..it would be a total waste of money i guess.

just figured every lil bit helps, Im about to add a BBK SSI intake, whats the point of having a restricted stock MAF with the SLP flopak, ported and polished tb, and higher flowing intake.

I can see your mindset, but the thing is the stock MAF isn't restrictive. There are guys running 4-5 hundred HP with the stock MAF without issues. Just because its "stock" doesn't mean it doesn't work well, and on a basic bolt on car it wont matter.

I know that many speed shops wont want to touch a car with an aftermarket MAF for tuning, that should tell you something.

i was requested to get a GM truck MAF for my tune. i had the SLP one on the car when i first brought it in and Ellis said he wanted nothing to do with it. it has poor tuning characteristics and does not adjust to the atmosphere as well as the stock GM ones. if you want a different MAF, then get the GM Delphi 85mm one off a truck or a Vette

I'm running one without trouble. My MS4 drives fine with it. I wouldn't waste money on it with a bolt on car though. Spend the money on something else.

If you'll pull the SLP sticker off of one, it's probably going to have the GM p/n under it.

problem is i dont think there will be a lil bit...as everyone said stocker is not restrictive specially on a bolt ons or even a mildly cammed car...save the 170$ or spend it on something else.

you will find the Delphi logo under it, all it is is a GM 85mm MAF with a stupid resistor on it and some shitty MAF tables installed.

If you just have to mess with it, wait until you are ready to go for a dyno tune and get a 85mm GM maf.

If you search here you will find a lot of threads with problems with the SLP due to the resistor to try to make it work without a tune.

Honestly, you will not gain much if anything from the research I've done. I bought one recently for $50 for my car but haven't been able to get the stuff to make it fit yet since its too large for the tubing I have. I haven't been motivated to spend much more getting it on there since I doubt I see any real gains anyway.

I will be going back to the track before and after so soon I should know for sure.

so it is safe to say, put the extra 40 bucks out and buy a new ZO6 MAF, I will be doing a cam and all that. I plan on buying something once and holding onto a certain setup for awhile, if I wanted to switch parts once a year, id buy a Ford

I never had issues with mine. I cant attest to any power increases from it since i never dyno'd it and was too new to the car when it was installed to really have much background to base a comparison on. If you do end up wanting to do the SLP maf though I still have mine just collecting dust. Could let it go for a bill plus shipping. Its got about 4k miles on it, looks like new. I only changed it out since at the time I was going with a dry nitrous setup and the screen on the stock maf was removeable whereas the screen on the SLP maf looks to be integrated with the maf end and I didnt want to risk damaging the maf itself trying to get the screen off. Anyways, shoot me a PM if you ever become interested.
