Default LS2 harmonic balancer on LS1

Someone locally is selling a used SLP harmonic balancer/crank pulley off a 2006 GTO and I wanted to know if it will work on my 2002 Camaro. I did a search and found mixed answers, but I do not believe it will work even though it says it will work on 2004 GTO's with LS1 engine.

Am I correct in thinking it will not work on my car? And if so is it due to belt alignment?

I believe the GTO damper has the same offset as a 'vette which would make the belt alignment way off...

Thanks for the info. I did some more looking around and found that the Powerbond balancer for the Camaro LS1 is the same as the GTO's LS1 and LS2. Also on rockauto the AC delco part is the same for both vehicles. Only the SLP part has two different part numbers and Powerbond makes them. I am waiting for the Powerbond rep to get back to me. Any other info anybody has I would appreciate it.
