Default AC Delco Water Pump Question

I just got an ACDELCO Part # 252846 water from an online vender to replace my stock ls1 water pump thats going out.

Now from what I understood this is the ls2 water pump and it will help with fast intake fitment issues.

I thought it would come with the water port with the thermostat, but it didnt, and I was wondering if I can use the housing from my ls1 pump or if I need a new housing as well as the thermostat.

I believe it uses the new style thermostat instead of the one in the housing like the ls1.

Anyone have a part number for the housing and or thermostat?

Thanks
