Default oil pressure

This is a stupid question, and probably going to make me look like an idiot. I'm putting a carbed LS1 into my 68 pickup. I bought some oil pressure and water temp sender adapters to run my guages. I know the water temp sender goes into the head, but where, exactly is the oil pressure tap?

Not stupid at all.
The oil pressure tap goes just above your filter. There is a fitting there with 2 bolts. Remove the fitting and drill into the opening on the fitting.
I had a pic here, but can't seem to locate it at this moment.
Maybe someone can provide one......

from a previous post...credit to > 1QUIKWS6

...............You can't miss it - it's a small aluminum casting that attaches with (2) bolts to engine block directly above the oil filter.

You will see it has an angled boss sticking out of the center. Remove the casting, carefully drill/tap center of that angled boss for 1/8NPT and install sending unit, install casting back to engine (it uses o-ring gasket).
