Harmonic Balancer Install Problem
So I installed my crank pulley, and tightened my ARP bolt to 235 ft lbs...It pressed on smoothly, and the crank snout was free of nicks or any debris...My problem is that there is about a half inch section of the pulley where it rides against the seal sticking out past the seal. Is this normal? It has an LS2 timing set and a Melling oil pump, both installed by manufacturers procedures. Just want to know if this is normal or do I need to take all of it back off because something is not right. This is my first time building an LS, so I dont know what the norm is...
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Phil

I dont have any of the belt drive accessories bolted on yet, but I can bolt the alternator on soon and see...I will check to see if the snout is recessed in the pulley this evening...Thanks

I assumed this yesterday Kept texting everyone I knew to ask LOL, I forgot to check if the snout was 1/8th. But i did use a 3/4 inch torque wrench. It only took one and a half quarter turns (from water pump pulley to ABS module) to reach 240ftlbs. so I was extremely skeptical. but it got to a point where I tried to keep torquing to the point that the rear wheels were about to turn.
