Why don't more people run their true duals this way?

There's a bunch of junk in the way that has to be relocated, like brake lines and stuff. The panhard bar will also be awfully close to the exhaust when the suspension is fully compressed.
That exhaust on the car the OP posted is a work of art, they even used oval piping for better ground clearance. I bet a good sized chunk of change went into fabbing all that up.

+1 on more info.. that has got to be the cleanest undercarriage and piping I have ever seen.... there was a lot of cutting, rerouting, and who knows what else to get that result...

That pipe looks tiny AND flat. It was done for looks/sound/ground clearance and not all out performance IMO. Either that or I'm just getting too used to seeing my 4 inch pipe.

how exactly does ovalized piping reduce flow? Nascars use ovalized pipe (probably mostly due to it being a clearance/aerodynamics issue) and I don't see it being an issue there *shrug*. Kawasaki uses ovalized throttle bodies on standards/cruisers to increase torque/mid-range. That is somewhat of an in between argument because while it DOES reduce top-end, it boosts the mid-range (and on a 12K RPM engine.. mid-range is our high range LOL. speaking directly from my experience with their Z1000 line 03-06 round TBs 07-08 same engine oval TB's and a 10ftlb boost at 5K RPM from that change)

Oval Pipe DOES NOT restrict or compromise performance. The CFM or "Flow" area has not been restricted, the area has been munipulated. The area of the pipe (for example) went from 3" round to 2 1/4 tall to 3 1/2 wide.
Tell me where the restriction is?
Granted, the main reason for the oval is for clearence issues and given the cost, round tube is 1/2 as much and used more.
But no performance loss with oval tubing, none.
It looks nice too!
