Default 71k miles..... new wires???

toying with the idea of changing plugs and was wondering if wires are needed with this low of mileage.... I have a slight hitch during idle and had a bout of detonation at wot the other day. Plugs are easy to come by (ngk tr5s) but I am not buying that cheap a$$ omni garbage from oriellys. ''

Input please.... I will also be going bbk headers in about two months.... Should I just wait it out till then????

thanks

Get a set of msd wires. For 55 bucks you cant go wrong. Its plug and play all pre-cut as well as the 8 ohm's restant wires which is way better then the stocks stuff.

You might as well do the wires as well if you're doing the plugs, I'm at 73k here and my car needs plugs/wires pretty bad, mines are gapped at like .70 and they're supposed to be at .50 I believe. So, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt for you to get ahead of the game and replace them. I think GM claimed that they were supposed to last 100k miles but that sure doesn't seem true.
