F body x-pipes still sound like Y pipes
is it just me? or do most F-bodies with x pipes still sound not so much like x pipes?
and i'm wondering why mine actually sounds like an x pipe setup. maybe because i moved the left side more inward to make them more equal length going into the X pipe and kept them equal length under the axle all the way out the back?
this is an old as video before i put the tips on.

Every exhaust setup you hear over the comp will all sound alike, honest my duals kick my y pipe into another world, rasp is gone and has a nice deep/ killer tone. There is not a chance any of the 5 catbacks come close to my duals, not to mention the power gain over the y pipe, i will never own another y pipe period

Mine sound nothing like a y-pipe on my LT1. I have a few vids of highway pulls being uploaded tomorrow that I will post in here. Car sounds nasty. Too bad its slow as hell tho. Lol

hey guys getting ready to do truel duals over the axle on my car, going to go with dual 3" setup running from my TSP 1 7\8s. as far as x pipes go is there really any difference? i found a cheap universal one on ebay for $30 shipped heres the link for it http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pro-Series-3...15658d&vxp=mtr. i have 4foot of leftover 3" aluminized piping and 3 180 degree mandreal bends. i also am trying to decide what bullet mufflers i want, but the OPs setup sounds nassssttttyyy with the borlas. i will be messaging him for more details.

I've ran several different types of setups. I'm currently running a xpipe into dual SLP Loudmouth 2 mufflers dumped and dummy tips. By far the best sounding exhaust I've ran. The tone is so smooth and progressive throughout the entire RPM range and just sounds freakin mean wide open, yet still mellow enough to cruise around in daily. I'll always run an Xpipe myself.
