Default true duals with spohn tunnel mount t\a

so i have read endlessly on going to true duals, and i have been told that since i have the spohn tunnel mount t\a i cant run true duals. now i know you can custom make something that will fit. Has anyone been able to do this? want to ditch my y pipe very badly. and if anyone has, please lets see some pics!!

I dont have any pics of it but I had a local guy make me a 3" TD setup that fit with my UMI tunnel mount t/a on my old SS. It cost me about $1400 to have it done including the panhard relocation but it sounded and performed great.

this is a pic off of spohns site just to show what a y pipe setup is like. Now I should also mention I am running 3 pt SFCs as well. I feel like i am pretty much screwed and will have to run a y pipe

A custom true dual set up can be done. I don't know if the Spohn arm offers enough room but Speed Inc was able to build a nice looking system around our tunnel mounted arm. See the picture below:

Well my pics aren't the greatest but UMIs torque arm was matched for TSPs TDs. It offered about 3/4-1" clearence over the stock TA. Which is alot when it comes to TDs.
http://pix.kg/p/450551666311%3A859502940/sct but if your doing it yourself, everything will be alittle different and you should be able to customize what you need and want.

It pretty much boils down to you can either run the pipes tight together coming out of the x-pipe and over the crossmember or swing them out really wide to go around the crossmember. The problem with going around is there isn't any room in the floorpan to tuck the pipes up, so the clearance will really suck.

The best thing for true duals is to run a full length torque arm and a torque arm relocation kit. This set up gives you the most clearance and room to work with. Check out link below to one of our builds that uses this set up with true duals:

thats a really nice setup, wouldnt have gone with flowmasters but to each their own. it seems like everyone with this torque arm has had to do a custom made x pipe.

Wouldn't have gone flowmasters?? Those are the 10 series, only muffs that sound almost as good are sweet thunders. Especially in a dual setup.

10 series single chambers are one of the best, if not THE best performance muffler you can buy. Small, lightweight, inexpensive, and doesn't rob power. Loud and very aggressive without sounding like raw noise, it has a menacing tone to it - unlike a bullet muffler. Drone is only an issue if you dump them.
