Default Growing issude after heads/cam swap!!!

So I swapped to a set of 799 heads and a Torquer V.2 cam about a month ago now. After i got the car done i had to get the exhaust done and small stuff like that. Well i kept an eye on it to make sure there was no leaks. Well beforei had it tuned i saw a little coolant/slashgrime onthe passenger side barely dripping off the bottom or the belhousing. Figured it was just the freeze plug cant remember if i torqued it down or not. Well i have no license so the car hasnt been moving a lot. Well i got it down to my tuner and dropped it off. He had it for a week and the car runs great. The issue is now i crawled under it the other day and its leaking worse now. So got a flash light and looked up te side of the block and its notthe freeze plu. A saw mouisture on the very back and bottom head bolt. Now if its the head gasket i know it would smoke and run like **** and it does neither? So what do you guys think it could be? Im kinda worried.

Now why would you assume that? There are several symptoms of a head gasket leak/failure and external coolant leaking is one of them. That would mean the coolant is escaping past the gasket and leaking out of the edge. Leaking into a combustion chamber would cause smoke/steam and rough running, but that's a completely different part of the gasket that would have to fail.

Well i dont know all the symptoms of head gaskets i guess i shouldnt assume. Now if its leaking just out the edge then that means pull the head and re-do the gasket and bolts right? or is it possible to just try and tighten the bolt and see if it stops?

My tuner got done with it and saw no problems on the computer or anything. No compression drop or anything and it runs so hard.

Is it something I could live with or not either?

At least the passenger side is easier to pull. These cars are a kind of a pain to get the heads on because you have to lower it and slide it back carefully, especially if your by yourself. It doesn't take much of a scrach on the botton of the head to cause a leak.

I'd pull and inspect it, clean the surface very well. I used the 3m abrasive pads with my air tools to clean the block to a shine. Obviously you'll need new head bolts. Machine shop would be the way to fix it if there is a scratch.

Mls head gaskets with new GM head bolts. I bought the kit from TSP. I scrapped the old gasket off with a ice scrapper and finished it the red scotch bright. I took my time with this so the block was totally clean and shinny becuase i didnt want this situation im in tho happen.

i had the same problem when i did my swap. sounds exactly like your coolant block offs on the back of the head/s aren't sealed properly. i had a small leak but on the driver side running down the same way. i found out when i put the coolant block offs back on the RTV sealant didn't sit well enough and under pressure created a leak. i can almost guarantee thats what your problem is.

I guess they do have the cooper gasket but i'm still not sure whats leaking. Im hoping its just the block off because i really dont wanna re-pull the stupid head unless I have too.

yeah the coolant block-off's have the gasket on them. What about the larger coolant plug on the back of the head....I put hi-temp gasket sealer on mine to make sure it wouldn't leak.
