Default Anyway to stay quiet with headers?

So I am looking to upgrade my exhaust soon. I currently have an all stock 2002SS. I was planning on doing an exhaust but found one of my cats was going bad. So I am planning on doing the whole thing but want a quiet start up but scream up top. I am looking at Jet hot LT with a catted y pipe and either stock exhaust or SLP dual dual if I can't find one. Would this be a good set up? Trying to keep cost down as much as possible.

Default stay quiet

I saw a built on an older big block cadillac, wild engine setup and the dude was running 6 mufflers in a dual exhaust and it was very quiet. If you want to stay quiet put as many mufflers in as you can..and not "performance" mufflers. Just put a cut out behind the headers for when you want it to be loud.

Magnaflow Catback, catted Y, LT's. Should be pretty quiet on start up and cruising around, but nasty once you get into it.

Well I really want to run cats. Anyone know a good place to buy a catted Y? I have only found the Kooks one and it is 600.

Was just looking on TSP's website and they have coated pace setter headers with a catted Y pipe for around 600. Now to save up alittle more..
