Default Please Help, Want my WS6 to sound more mild, What muffler??? My neighbors hate me!!!

Thank you for reading and offering any advice.

1998 WS6, PRC 2.5 heads, .228 Texas Speed Cam, 419rwhp through auto, etc.

Has Dynatech long tubes to 3" custom true duals X-pipe to Magna Flow Race Bullets. No cats or tail pipes. Sounds crazy good in terms of "race car" sound but wayyyyy too loud for my neighbors.

I want to leave the X-pipe because it's a very nice piece. If possible, I'd like to leave tail pipes off if there is a good flowing mufflers that will take a ton of noise away and greatly reduce the drone inside the car??? If not, I can see if the local custom exhaust shop can fab me some tail pipes as well. Obviousely, I do not want to rob a bunch of hp in the process.

I did some measuring, the bullets are about 5" diameter and 17" long. So, there is room for a decent size mufflers I think.

Help and Thank You??????????????

Get the SLP Loudmouth 1 cat-back and the SLP Loudmouth resonator, that will help you out tons.

Last time I checked this is america lol the land of the free: ) but then again u have to be nice to ur neighbors personally ur gona have to go with a bigger muffler flowmaster has nice sound but their flow design sucks most bullet mufflers have the same concept so its kinda pointless to switch so I suggest magnaflow more affordable versus corsa or borla

The resonator is what comes with the Cat back and that will not be any quiter than bullets.

You could have best of both worlds, but at a cost. Put dual e-cutouts where your dumps are now. Take the exhaust over the axle and add in cats and mufflers. Cats do a good amount of muffling, more so than some mufflers. I know your pain, I got tired of the dumped true dual drone on my old heap. This way you can have both sounds.

This is why true duals sucks on our cars, muffler choices is very limited due to space. I'd go back to a "stock style" system with a cutout. SLP Dual Dual is a great exhaust when you have to worry about the neighbors and late night starts.

I know you want to keep the exhaust dumped, but I would just run the exhaust all the way out the back. And add two more mufflers before the tips. You could add cutouts before the axle like already said. Two long magnaflow bullet type mufflers before the axle, and two shorter muffers after should quiet the car down, and still have a good sound.

yep. until you exercising your right to be obnoxious interferes with someone elses right to not have to be disturbed.

I had long tubes no cats into B&B bullets on my C5. The HOA filed an injunction on my house to either get it changed or I would be evicted. I hate HOAs.

God I hate the neighbor thing....It's your propert/land...Do what you want...It's not like your leaving your car on for 6 hrs with a rock on the pedal. If neighbors get pissed because you start your car-let it warm up for 5 min, then you pull off and return home later then **** em...Such a pety reason to "hate your neighbor". I would never consider changing my setup because my neighbor doesn't like it, only if I don't like it.
