Default So i may have a slight problem...

Im using the stock crank in my build, and never bothered, or thought, to have the machine shop put another keyway slot on the crank nose for the balancer.

well. i ordered a balancer, its a keyed balancer, and my crank snout, is not.

So what are my options? take the motor to the machine shop and have them fix me up? put a pin kit in it? or what? Its a turbo motor by the way, so not too much stress on the pullies.

I think all aftermarket balancers are keyed just in case. They will still press fit in just like oem though. For boosted applications I have read more than once that you can spin the balancer on the crank if you dont pin it.
